This is an unofficial copy of Emacs Speaks Statistics (http://ess.r-project.org) with a small modification to allow it to work with the ELPA system (http://tromey.com/elpa/). It was 
intended for use with the Emacs Starter Kit for the Social Sciences: http://kjhealy.github.com/emacs-starter-kit/. However, ESS is now available on github and the starter kit manages it that way instead.
