This is a collection of some simple configuration files I use to typeset my papers. I use these in conjunction with the Social Sciences Starter Kit for Emacs. It includes:
- Some page layout styles for articles typeset using LaTeX and the Memoir class, with Chicago-style author-year references and bibliographies, with an option for presenting source code listings (from, e.g., Sweave files) using the Minted package and Pygments.
- Convenience style files that set up your document preamble. They can be used by themselves or in conjunction with exporting from Org-mode and the Emacs Starter Kit. The style files take options to turn on support for the
mintedcode-listings package and to use the Minion Pro package with pdfLaTeX.
- Some Sweave-related style files that have now mostly been superceded by Knitr.
- Templates for an Article, Syllabus, and Letter using the layouts & format files here. The Letter templace comes from an original by Ted Sider.
To make use of these files you will need a modern TeX installation, such as MacTeX.
Not all of these packages are needed to use each of the layouts. With the exception of Pygments, all of these packages are included in a modern TeX distribution like MacTeX.
